Small revolutions of the readers: Selene Rojas

SELENE ROJAS: «Being grateful is a revolution that has accompanied me since I was a child. Also, there are other things that help me in my search for happiness:

A ritual that always gives me peace is: when I drink water, I close my eyes, say "thank you" and imagine how it purifies me. I feel connected to life.

Sadness? I'm looking to do something beautiful, from a nature walk to listening to an opera concert.

The smells connect me with the now, by smelling something rich it calms my fear.

A phrase that I repeat myself on the street: "Look at the sky and not the ground", and I almost always feel good.

"The tourist effect", seeing my city, my surroundings, with that curiosity that you have when you travel.

When I feel that nothing makes sense, I look for people who inspire me, who guide me, who help me.

Running has been my antidote to depression, I imagine that I am running with beautiful and powerful animals.

If I have to make a call that scares me, or send an email that scares me, I go somewhere green, with trees, and from there I do. It is as if nature gave me its full support, it clothed me.

I repeat the multiplication tables when the thoughts in my head drive me crazy: 5 × 1 = 5, 5 × 2 = 10 ...

From heart thank you".
