Gonzalo Márquez Cristo

Director of the cultural magazine Común Presencia and the literature collection Los Conjurados. Founder and director of the virtual weekly Con-Fabulación (Best Digital Media Award 2011), with more than 90,000 subscribers.

Co-director of World Poetry Day (Colombia version) instituted by UNESCO. He obtained the Maurice Blanchot International Essay Prize (2007). He was literary advisor to the Bogotá Poetry Festival.

Several of his poems and stories have been translated into English, French, German, Arabic, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Afrikaans, Galician, and Braille; and they appear in 32 anthologies.

His work has been commented on by important poets and thinkers such as: E.M. Cioran, Roberto Juarroz, José Ángel Valente, Bernard Noël, Fernand Verhesen, António Ramos Rosa, Alfredo Silva Estrada, Claude Fell, Roger Munier, Olga Orozco, Antonio Gamoneda, Eugenio Montejo, Claude Michel Cluny, Martha Canfield and Franco Volpi.
