Author and spiritual therapist, known for his work in Spherical Psychology and the therapy he named Diamond Approach. AH Almaas (AHL-məss) is the pseudonym of A. Hameed Ali (born 1944). Almaas is originally from Kuwait. He is the spiritual director of the Ridhwan school. He can be described, among other things, as an integral theorist, mystic, spiritual teacher, and an exponent of the perennial philosophy. His work has helped thousands of people achieve greater awareness and personal fulfillment.
The Diamond Approach is a contemporary spiritual path that integrates the teachings and practices of the ancient wisdom traditions with modern depth psychology. The Diamond Approach stems from the experiences of Almaas, along with Karen Johnson and Faisal Muqaddam (who parted ways early on to develop their own approach). They were among the first students of Claudio Naranjo, one of the first pioneers of the integration of spiritual and therapeutic work.
